Artist Statement

The tension between the stamina and fragility in nature inspires my work and infuses it with a life of it’s own.

An accomplished metalsmith and jeweler, Sandra Zacharia is originally from New York. It was there she began her career as a textile designer, later moving to Israel where she spent many years designing fabrics for the NYC fashion houses. While overseas, Zacharia’s passion for jewelry design was fueled by her studies at the Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem. Upon her return to the States in 2005 her reputation for delicate, yet strong, work blossomed.

Retail Sources

You can purchase pieces directly from the artist, through her website, www.artjewelsz.com, and at The Waverly Street Gallery in Bethesda MD. Contact her directly if you would like to be added to her mailing list.
